Dr. Banerjee is an Assistant Professor in Residence in the Department of Educational Psychology and a Research and Education Consultant for Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ. Dr. Banerjee has over 20 years experience in the field of learning and other disabilities, is a certified diagnostician and teacher-consultant for learning disabilities, and has worked as a postsecondary disability service provider, vocational rehabilitation counselor, and research consultant for many years. Dr. Banerjee has published and presented both nationally and internationally on topics including disability documentation, technological competencies for postsecondary transition, and universal design and serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability.

Dr. Madaus is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology. Previously, Dr. Madaus served as Associate Director then Director of the University Program for College Students with Learning Disabilities (UPLD). Prior to that, he directed the Learning Resource Center at Mitchell College, New London, CT. Dr. Madaus' research and publication interests include professional standards and standards of professional practice; accommodations, documentation, transition, and assessment of adults with LD; and program evaluation, including retention of students with LD. He was the recipient of a Distinguished Research Fellowship through the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, U.S. Department of Education.

Dr. McGuire is a Professor Emerita and formerly served as the Director of the University of Connecticut Program for Students with Learning Disabilities (UPLD) (1986-2000). She is Co-Director of the Center on Postsecondary Education and Disability and specializes in postsecondary disability program development, administration, and evaluation; assessment and documentation of learning disabilities in adults; and Universal Design for Instruction (UDI), an approach for creating college-level instruction that is responsive to student diversity. Dr. McGuire has more than 100 refereed journal articles and book chapters relating to postsecondary disability services and inclusive instructional strategies for college teaching, and served as Co-Editor of AHEAD's Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability. Prior to her current positions, Dr. McGuire directed the LD support program at Mitchell College, New London, CT.

Ms. Miller is the current Director of the University Program for College Students with Learning Disabilities (UPLD). Sherine has been working with individuals with disabilities since 1997. Prior to coming to the University of Connecticut, she was the ADA Coordinator and Director of Accessibility Services at Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah. Before this time, she was Director of the Career Advising Center at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Dr. Shaw is Professor Emeritus of Special Education and Co-Director of the University's Center on Postsecondary Education and Disability. He is also Conference Coordinator of the University's annual Postsecondary Disability Training Institute (PTI). He has published widely on issues relating to college services for students with disabilities, disability documentation, the transition from secondary education to college, disability policy and law, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Dr. Shaw was Co-Editor of the Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability and is currently a member of the Editorial Boards of Career Development for Exceptional Individuals, Journal of Postsecondary Education and Disability, Intervention in School and Clinic, Teacher Education and Special Education, and the Journal of Special Education Leadership.

Ms. Waite has been at the University of Connecticut since 1977 and with the Center on Postsecondary Education and Disability since 1985. She serves as Program Assistant to the Center, providing administrative and fiscal support; is Conference Manager of UConn's annual Postsecondary Disability Training Institute (PTI); and has created and maintains the Center's website.
