Advancing Connecticut's Transition Services: How to Use Your District's Post-School Outcome Data (click here to view the detailed program flyer)

Recent information from DC indicates that there will be an increasing emphasis on outcomes (including post-school outcomes) for special education students over the next few years. The Connecticut State Department of Education in Collaboration with the State Education Resource Center and the University of COnnecticut have developed an exciting traning opportunity via Connect-Ability grant funds from the Department of Social Services/Bureau of Rehabilitation Services to assist LEAs to measure, analyze, and evaluate post-school outcomes of students who have completed their transition years via activities around the required Post-School Outcomes Survey. This aspect of providing secondary transition services will become increasingly important over the next few years.
